I began training to become a teacher in 2013 with Hilaire Lockwood, ERYT-500 at Hilltop Yoga in Lansing, MI. I received my 200hr Yoga Alliance certification that year, and then went on to complete 500 hours of training in 2015. Since then, I've taught to a variety of levels and abilities in studios, gyms, workplaces, at festivals, on the steps of the Michigan State Capitol and more. I've also assisted Hilaire in three of her 200hr teacher trainings. I am now an ERYT-500 with seven years of teaching, multiple large scale events, and three self-led retreats (two international and one in northern Michigan) to date. Today I teach online and offer sliding scale private sessions with a focus on intuitive, alignment-based, traditional yoga.

My herbalism journey began in 2019. Realizing that this practice was already a big part of my life, I dove in headfirst to books, workshops, podcasts, and whatever else could help me learn more about plant medicine. I completed 150 hours of a medicine making apprenticeship with the Village Witches in Costa Rica in 2019, studied energetics in Jim McDonald’s 2020 lindera program, and am currently working through an Internal Medicine Making Intensive with the Herbal Medics Academy.

My love of learning keeps me coming back to my body and always back to the plants.  In the midst of a political and social climate that leaves many of us exhausted, I’m seeking ways to help myself and my community thrive when the odds are against us. My deep belief is that health is our resistance and of paramount importance in order for us to blossom, flourish, and shape the new paradigm.
